Sleek Candy Collection Sweet Cheeks Palette

Is it possible to be a bit in love with a make up product? If so, this is definitely the case with the new Sleek blush by 3 Candy Collection Palette. This new limited edition product from Sleek has a gorgeous selection of 3 different shades, textures and finishes of blushes. The first is the cream blush 'Candy floss' an almost purple toned shade blusher in a creamy texture. Its very light so makes it easy to work with and apply. I apply this with my fingers and blend with a brush, and add more to get the desired look- its a very build able cream blush. Next in this gorgeous trio is Dolly Mix, this is a powder matte blush in a very neutral pink tone. Probably the most natural of the shades, this is lovely if you want just a hint of colour on the cheeks but nothing too shimmery. Which leads onto the last shade, Cupcake. This is a bright fuchsia pink shade in a powder shimmer finish. I usually steer clear of those really shimmery blushers but this has the right amount of 'glitz'. I was a bit apprehensive of this shade mainly because it so bright, but it really is lovely once blended on the cheeks.
All the blushes are super pigmented and you can mix between the three shades to get your desired look. I have been mixing the cream blush Candy Floss and the Dolly Mix together and I love it! The blush comes in at £9.99 which I think is really good, considering that your getting 3 completely different blushers.
In stores around the beginning of June, Candy Collection have also released a new Eye Palette and a new Pout Paint. So be sure to check those out too!

Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Taking your make up off after a long day can be a bit of an effort. I used wipe after wipe to try and get every last bit off, especially around the eyes- I’d be lucky if I had any wipes left! Doing this really irritated my eyes as well, so all that rubbing and scrubbing was not good for my skin.
I’m not sure what made me buy this product, I think maybe someone recommended it to me and with it being only £1.62 in Superdrug at the moment (the normal retail price is £3.29) I thought I’d give it a try.
It’s one of those oil based removers that have two segments. One is to help remove the makeup, and yes it does what it claims- removes even waterproof mascara. And the other is to care and protect lashes. Shake the two up and soak only a small amount (that’s all you need) onto a cotton pad and wipe away! There’s no need to rub and scrub it off as with almost the second wipe I find that the makeup has completely been removed. It really does care for your lashes as well; it’s not harsh on them, doesn’t pull any lashes out and doesn’t leave your skin oily. I also find that it actually moisturises the eye area nicely too.
Using this product is so easy and so good for the skin. Make up is removed quickly and your skin is cared for! What more could you want. Another winner from Nivea Skincare!

Clarins Instant Natural Lip Perfector

Now I must admit at £17, the price of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector (that's a mouthful) can be off putting but once you've tried this amazing little lipgloss you won't even remember how much you forked out for it!
I have the shade 05 candy shimmer which is a light pinky coral shade- I think the darkest of the pinks. When applied to the lips it has this gorgeous shine and the colour is very natural, like my lips but better sort of colour. The colour is so pigmented that I wear it alone and think it looks great! It is also super moisturising and doesn't feel like a typical sticky gloss on the lips. The only issue that I have with the lip perfector is that I wish it would last a bit longer, don't get me wrong I know lipglosses don't have the best staying power- you'll get about an hour or 2 wear with this particular gloss, I just wish it would last all day without having to reapply. Unrealistic I know, but I'm not the best at remembering to keep touching up my lipgloss.
Nevertheless I do love love loveeeeee it. I'm happy with the shade I picked but I know there are a few others that I want to get- 03 apricot shimmer is next on my list! Oh and not to forget the smell of these are amazing!

Nivea Daily Essentials Hydration Primer

I've been looking for a good budget buy primer for a while but haven't managed to find one that I like. I'm quite fussy when it comes to the consistency of a good primer product- I don't particularly like gel based ones and other creams that I have used, I feel are really heavy and oily on my skin. So on a whim I purchased the Nivea Hydration Primer. I love Nivea products, so I had high hopes and it really didn't disappoint one bit. It has a really light cream like consistency- so nothing too heavy which is a big plus for me but at the same time helps moisture the skin which is down to the clever little hydrators and vitamins in this primer. It creates a really smooth base for the application of make up, absorbing really nicely into the skin. I also find it fills in pores and fine lines really well, helping to create that 'flawless' complexion. I have quite large pores around my nose and after applying this they are almost (it doesn't work miracles but is great nonetheless) invisible once foundation is applied.
The longevity of the primer is excellent, it truly does help your make up stay in place pretty much all day -with a blot of powder here and there.

So all in all I am really impressed with this primer and having almost run out now, I will definitely be purchasing another and at £3.99 in Superdrug at the moment you really can't go wrong!
As a side note there are two different kinds you can get. Normal to Combination skin version, which is the one I have and the other is for Dry/Sensitive Skin (in a little pink tub). It has also been recommended by Cosmopolitan readers, so it really is worth a try! :)

Finally...

So after all this time, umming and arrring I've finally decided to create a blog! I really don't understand why it has actually taking me so long, I've always wanted a platform to express my views on certain beauty products that I love/ love not so much and now I finally have that! I've always been inspired by beauty and make up products, it is something that I have a real passion for (sorry if that sounds a bit strange) so here it is, my beauty blog... London Loves Beauty. :)
